The Day After

Dear Abby & Kate,

Ahhhh, the day after Christmas.  When we're at Mommy's family for the week of Christmas, the day after is the best day ever.  We woke with nothing to do.  Nothing.  So we did nothing....

 You two got to enjoy your Christmas presents, too...

  

  

 And thoroughly entertain both Mommy and Mimi all morning long, while we sipped on some coffee and did NOTHING!!!!

Of course, you know us all to well, we can't sit still too long. We decided to do a little roller skating.  Ash-ash bought all  of us Waits Farm t-shirts so we decided to all wear them, too!!  

  

   

We had a lot of fun and even did a little hokey pokey!

Christmas 2013

Dear Kate,

You absolutely got what was going on this Christmas, and loved every bit of it!!  Christmas Day finally arrived and boy was it awesome.  Santa made a stop but you and Sister wanted to keep on sleeping! Finally Daddy made a few loud coughs and woke you two up.  You were not disappointed...

You finally got your own chair so now you don't have to share (read 'argue') with Sister!!!  And Cinderla-la's horse and carriage - wow!

Oh wait, Sister found something...

That's right, a mini Ipad for you and Sister to share.  What was Santa thinking... He must have won it at work or something...
After you two enjoyed your gifts from Santa, we headed to Mammaws for yummy Christmas breakfast with the entire family, yes, like all 200 of us!  It was fun and apparently so hectic that I didn't get a single picture!  You had fun sharing your food with Knox and Jake and were super excited because Mammaw got you a trampoline!!!
After Mammaws, we headed to Mimi's house for a nap before the big Grand Finale - Mimi's Christmas!   As you can only imagine, the gifts were in plenty.  Here are some highlights...

And a new high chair (I don't think you can see it, but you were not too interested in the presents at this point because you had a can of Pringles all to yourself - the things you get to do on Christmas...)

Sister got a new jeep for her doll but decided it was meant for you...

You even tried to teach Nacho a few tricks.  Actually you were just trying to get him to not eat your crackers!

You got a new sleeping bag too!!!!  and decided you needed to test it out!

What a great Christmas we had this year.  Lots of time with family, lots of FUN with family and, of course, lots of awesome gifts.  Love you!

A Pink Guitar, too

Dear Kate,

You are still at the age where you don't tell us what you want for Christmas.  The day will come, don't you worry, but for now, Mommy and Daddy get to 'make you a list.'  Sister, however, is big enough to decide exactly what she wants and while she can be a bit indecisive on some things on her list, a pink guitar was the number one thing she wanted.  Well, Mommy's a bit smarter than some may think and I knew that if Sister got a pink guitar, Katie Bug better have a pink guitar.  So, by some crazy chance, we stopped by Sarah's house on Christmas eve and she had a present for you and a present for Sister.  Guess what it was??????

Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah!  Two pink guitars!! One for you and one for Sister!!!

Both you and Sister were thrilled with your gift from Sarah. 

We may need to get you signed up for lessons though... Love you rock star!

Bake Day 2013

Dear Kate,

On the Sunday before Christmas, we arrived at Mimi's house to her annual Bake Day and what a great set up she had this year! 

All your favorite cousins were there, too, including Emily...

As you can only imagine, you loved baking day for one thing and one thing only - the COOKIES!!!

Everyone had a great time decorating (and eating) the yummy cookies...

And spending time with all their cousins!

You had a particularly fun time with the Elf hat (and Sarah!)

And then there was Emery who you got to wrestle with!!!  He is ALWAYS looking for someone to wrestle with!

We all had a great time baking and eating and playing and visiting and starting Christmas week at Mimi's off with a bang!  Love you cookie monster!
