Parks, Clara Lee, Goofballs and Birthdays!

 Dear Kate,
We're prepping for Disney like crazy and you are being such a trooper!  You've hung with Mom running last minute errands, tried a hundred different outfits on, and watched our house go from sane to insane in seconds!  But, we've had some fun, too!  We ventured to the park one gorgeous afternoon and Sister was happy to give you a push on the swing!
Also, Clara Lee came to visit Sister (and I guess you, too!) and we took her to Goofballs.

You love some Goofballs but this time you got to ride the bumper cars!  We didn't think you could and you were so upset that Sister and CL were riding, then the lady said "She can ride if I can ride with her."  Well, you are not shy, not when it comes to bumper cars, so you hopped right on up there!
Man alive did you have fun!!!!  After Goofballs we headed to Mexican where you got your cheese quesadilla and Kipper fix!

The next morning Sister had a soccer game and you and Daddy had tons of fun watching it, or, well, at least tons of fun!
After soccer, we ran a few errands and headed home for naps.  Mimi insisted on waking you up before she left for home and give you an early birthday present.  Since your birthday is while we're at Disney World, we decided to go ahead and have a little birthday celebration for you!

We sang Happy Birthday and then you got to open presents from Sister and Mimi.  Sister was super excited about her present!
And it looks like you were too!
And Mimi's present was just as exciting!

hooray!  A mermaid dress to match Sister's and to wear in DisneyWorld!!!!
Happy early birthday Sweet Kate!!! Up next - Disney!!!!!

SIster's 5th Birthday

Dear Kate,
Sister had her big 5th birthday and you helped show the love by celebrating with her all week long!
Thursday, Mimi surprised her (and you) by showing up at the house and we all headed out to dinner at the Japanese Steakhouse.  You were a little appalled by the ball of fire that came rushing toward you, or at least that's what your reaction to the 'volcano' seemed to say, but Mimi quickly calmed you down by feeding you like the princess you are, with chopsticks of course!

You helped Sister read her cards and watched as she opened presents.

That next morning, Sister had a 'Breakfast and a Movie' birthday party with her school girl friends.  She was kind enough to let you in on the fun, and you were brave enough to join!

You had a ball playing with all those big kids !

Later that afternoon, we all headed to the lake  to continue the celebration (and celebrate Pic-pic's birthday, too!) For you, this meant more sweets!
This also meant you got to see Nacho, but you became much more comfortable with your new puppy, Pic-pic...
Saturday morning was a beautiful morning and we were all super excited to get on the lake!

Not sure what this was about, but it sure makes me giggle!

You enjoyed the boat, as usual, and enjoyed an entire box of chips.  Thankfully they were the 'healthier' chips, but sadly, they were supposed to be for the 'dults!!

We enjoyed the sunshine, which meant getting in the water to cool off!
And also meant shooting for a family portrait!  Ha!

The girlies got it together, but it took a little work...
Here's seconds before the previous shot.  Made a few switcharoos!
You kept up with your puppy the whole time, too.
And nothing beats a day on the boat more than getting a nap on Mommy's shoulders!
FUN FUN FUN at the lake!

Summer's over, boo, but you should know by now we've got a few things planned for the fall.  Hmmmm, what could it be?  Someone's birthday is coming up...
Love you Sweet Almost 2 Year Old Kate!
