Dear Kate,
We had our second annual Polar Express Christmas Party at our house and had a blast! We had crafts and yummy food and presents and, of course, the Polar Express movie! Miss Leigh was in charge of the craft this year and did an outstanding job. She was able to get all six of you kiddos to stamp your finger with different colors multiple times and make a super cute hot plate saucer thingy.
Pretty fancy, huh! We also had photo booth props to play around with. The older kiddos seemed to enjoy it a little bit more, but I convinced you to pose with one for a photo. Kipper looks confused, if you could actually see his eyes :)
You two, and Jakey, played together while we made a yummy dinner. At one point Aunt Steph laughed really loud. I looked up to see you showing off your famous paci trick. Pure talent right there, my darling.
Dinner was served and served with style! Check our our fancy snowman pizza and grinch fruit snacks!
And did I mention I have become very crafty lately? Well, I have. See, check out the hot chocolate cups I made for everyone.
And those for the adults, as well...
After dinner, you know what comes next - Pictures!!! It wasn't as chaotic as it has been in the past, but we definitely had some moments. Here's one of the before shots...
But look, we got a fantastic shot! Worth every ounce of energy to get there!
Now you three little ones by yourselves was a bit harder...
This one trips me out - look at Kipper trying to eat his toes. You refused to give up that darn paci and Jakey did NOT want to sit, but at least he was grinning!
yeah, and the sisters shot did not work out, no matter how much energy I tried to put out!
After pictures was present time!!! So this year for gifts, the mommas took each kiddo to the Dollar Tree and you got to pick a present out for Kipper and Jake, all by yourself. You had a bit of trouble at first as you clearly wanted them to have pink bracelets, but soon you saw the trucks and knew those were meant to be for them! They were perfect and both of them loved it!
You scored with beautiful pink butterfly wings...
And quite the funny face! You LOVED that nose!
After everyone enjoyed their gifts for a bit, we headed up to the media room to watch the famous Polar Express! Now, if you recall, last year you didn't actually watch it, but now that you are two and all, you got to stay up (at least for a little bit!) and enjoy the popcorn and candy bar!
Everyone enjoyed the movie and then enjoyed a good nights sleep and we woke up to reindeer pancakes! It was a great Polar Express party. We are so lucky to have such close friends to do such fabulous stuff with! We hope you and Jakey and Kipper stay best buddies forever!
Love you!
