Dear Kate,
Sarah came to town!!! It's always fun when Sarah comes to town, but we started the fun a few hours before she arrived by getting our fingernails painted! You LOVED getting them painted, and, while you didn't sit perfectly still, you sat as still as any 2 year old could. You were very pleased with the outcome (and so was Mommy!) and even kept your hands from touching while we circled Target afterwards!
Later that night, Miss Anna Parsons babysat you while Mommy and Daddy and Sarah went to the symphony to get into the Christmas spirit! The next morning we headed to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens to continue the Christmas spirit. The gardens had lots of fun things to do revolving around Christmas, but our main goal was to see Santa! Okay, maybe not YOUR main goal, but everyone elses. When we got there, though, it was a 2 hour delay until we could see Santa. Thankfully they don't make you wait in line and instead you hop around from all the different activities. First off, reindeer...
And then it was a turn on Santa's sleigh!
OH NO! You got some one your hand! Princess doesn't like it on her hand at all...
It looked good enough to eat, so, you ate it!
I'm gonna say you liked it. Up next, crafting!
And finally we were allowed to go see Santa, but then he had to go potty, so we had to wait a few more minutes...
But then it was time, and then, not surprisingly, you decided you did not want to see him, so Sister sat in his lap by herself. Maybe next year???
We headed home for a quick nap and woke up just in time to celebrate Kipper's 2nd Birthday - a Fire Truck theme! It was awesome fun including making your own fire truck and eating lots of yummy cupcakes with red icing that DOES come out of white shirts :)
PS - I did a terrible job at taking pictures at his party!
On Sunday, we went to lunch at Grey's and then enjoyed Dickens Christmas festival in downtown Franklin. It was a lovely time and you enjoyed petting LOTS of puppies!
And a carriage ride, too!
Monday was school for you, and Tuesday was Sister's school program (which you were sad that you could not go on stage with her!),
And then Wednesday was your last day and Christmas party! Sister got to join in on the fun, too! You showed us all your favorite toys and introduced all your friends.
Mrs. Claus came by and passed out presents to everyone and the you sang Jingle Bells for us!You LOVED your book that Mrs. Claus gave you and can't wait to see what her other half has to pass out!
We had a fun time at your Christmas party, so much fun that you slept a really long time and I had to wake you up from your nap. You were so sweet, going right back to sleep on my shoulder. Love it when you snuggle on me. It's not going to be too much longer that you do that...
Anyway, back to Christmas! School is out and Christmas is well underway!! HOORAY!!!
love you snuggle bug.
